FAMILY STORY
Have you been planning to capture your parents’ story for your kids and grandkids? Or share your life experiences and lessons learned? Has it felt overwhelming, causing you to pause? If your parents—or you—can: 1) give us 4 to 8 hours for interviews, 2) collect 75 to 150 photographs, and 3) review the final draft—we’ll do the rest. Then you, too, can enjoy a book that shares the story of your family.

“REMEMBER THE TIME…?”
Your family may not think they have a “book-worthy” story, but they do have experiences worth sharing and remembering. They’ve probably already told many of them at the dinner table or while browsing through a photo album. And they probably can tell you things about their parents and grandparents that are worth recording.
Your story can range from a collection of short vignettes to a memoir based on questions we have developed to draw out a broad range of family history and anecdotes.
Digitizing your memorable photographs allows your family to enjoy these images beyond the physical photo albums.

INTERVIEWS
We can interview your loved ones in half-day blocks if they are visiting from out of town. Or if they live locally and prefer shorter blocks, the interviews can be spread out. Face-to-face interviews are best, but phone or video conference can work well. We can draft the text of the book from those interviews.
For more details, see Process.
PHOTOGRAPHS
We ask you to select photographs that illustrate the various parts of the story. We can bring our scanner on site to scan physical photos, slides, or negatives. For digital photos we ask you to provide the original files (or the highest resolution copies that you can find).
For more details, see Process.

MEMORABILIA
Meaningful memorabilia—like letters, cards, keepsakes, medals, toys, clothing—can be scanned or photographed on site. Originals or reproductions of letters or cards can be included in envelopes glued into the book.
TIMELINE
A timeline highlights key moments or milestones of the family story, and provides a handy summary for reference. We often include it near the beginning of the book.
